Dear Readers,
Apologies for the recent lack of content. October was a difficult month, and I wanted to share a quick update with all of you.
During the first week of October, I lost four of my pets, including Calci, my best buddy. It was heartbreaking, and I needed some time to process everything. Then, on the third week of October, my cat, Miggy, bit my right hand. He saw another cat he disliked, and in his rush to get to that cat, he used all four of his fangs to bite me. One fang went deep enough to injure my tendons.
Because of the severity of the bite, seven days of antibiotics weren’t enough. I had to restart a new course, and my hand stayed swollen for five weeks. I also ended up receiving nine injections in total, including five injections directly on the wound. I never knew a cat bite could be that painful. I relied heavily on my left hand to get by, but thankfully, I’m now able to lift my thumb slightly. It’s been a slow healing process, but I’m getting there.
Even though work became a good distraction, I still felt bad about missing out on my Halloween blog content. But don’t worry—I’ll make it up to you with Christmas blog posts soon, including my Christmas Wishlist.
Someone also told me, “Emotions are fleeting; time will heal.” That simple sentence helped keep me strong throughout the month.
I hope you’re all doing well. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and sending lots of love your way!
